Troubleshooting
- Go to youtube.com/paid_memberships and sign in with the right Google account
- Use Manage membership for your plan, then Deactivate and Continue to cancel
- Choose a reason, click Next, then Yes, cancel
- If you have YouTube Premium, it includes Music Premium - cancel from the same page
If you subscribed through Apple or another third party, you'll need to cancel through that platform's subscription management system, not through YouTube's website.
If you have YouTube Premium, it includes YouTube Music Premium. Canceling YouTube Premium will cancel both services.
YouTube Music doesn't offer a pause option. However, you can cancel and reactivate anytime without losing your playlists or saved music.
- Look for a cancellation confirmation email from YouTube
- Check that the cancellation date matches the end of your current billing period
- Confirm you finished the full flow: Manage membership → Deactivate → Continue to cancel → reason → Next → Yes, cancel
- Contact YouTube support if you’re still charged after that date
